Denmark has more vehicles than mechanics to keep them running.

Workshops, fleets and machinery yards are all short of hands, and electrification has only widened the gap. If you can diagnose a fault and finish a job properly, employers here are competing for you.

Employers we have vetted

We visit the workshops we place people in, so we can tell you about the tools, the team and the overtime before you say yes.

Your certificates count

EU trade qualifications, EV high-voltage training and machinery certificates all improve the match. Send what you have.

Paperwork handled

Contract, tax card, NemKonto and recognition of your qualifications. We walk you through the Danish admin.

Room to move up

Many of our placements move from assistant to full mechanic to foreman inside the same workshop.

Danish and English

Plenty of workshops run in English. We match you to a team where your language works.

Frequently asked questions

What mechanic jobs are available in Denmark?

Car mechanics (petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric), truck and fleet mechanics, technicians for construction, industrial and agricultural machinery, and tyre, service and workshop assistant roles.

Do I need to be a certified mechanic?

Certified and experienced mechanics are matched fastest and paid best, but workshops also take on assistants and helpers who are starting out and train them in the bay.

How do I apply?

Fill in the application form once, which takes about two minutes. We review every profile and get back to you within 24 hours.

Does it cost anything to apply?

No. Applying through MechanicJobs.dk is completely free for candidates. The workshops pay us, never you.

Will my qualification from another EU country be recognised?

Usually yes, and Danish workshops are used to hiring mechanics trained elsewhere in the EU. Send us your papers with the application and we will tell you what the employer needs.

What does a mechanic earn in Denmark?

Pay depends on your certificates, your experience and the agreement the workshop works under, with supplements for overtime and call-outs. We tell you the range for each job before you meet the employer.

Do I need to speak Danish?

Many workshops run day to day in English, especially in the cities and in fleet garages. Danish helps for customer-facing service roles and for moving into a foreman position.

Is there work with electric vehicles?

Yes, and it is growing quickly. If you have high-voltage or EV training, tell us, because it is one of the qualifications employers ask for most often.
